Samsung Galaxy S4 Aims to Kill iPhone 6 This Year?
Samsung and Apple have an even fiercer competition as Samsung Galaxy S4 is gunning for the iPhone 6 and let it bite the dust this year.
Will Samsung be able to finish off Apple's iPhone and reign over the smartphone market? The goal has been set by the companies and an all-out war is forthcoming the market.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is pegged for release on either the second or third quarter of the year as it is planning for a head start over its rival. The iPhone is usually released around either third or fourth quarter of the year.
Latest rumours claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be equipped with stylus or S-Pen, laser keyboard and a full HD screen according to a video concept by a fan.
New renders showed that Samsung Galaxy S4 is a lovechild of Samsung Galaxy S3 and LG Nexus 4. At DeviantArt, we recently got a glimpse of an awesome Samsung Galaxy S4 render by 96design. The new concept design looks like LG Nexus 4.
IBTimes AU reported earlier that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be a fusion of SG3 and Note 2 with the supposed inception of the S-Pen found on the Samsung's phablet.
The idea of merging the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2 may be due to the immense popularity and following of the devices. But the merger could also mean cutting on the profits that the successors of the two smartphones will bring.
Rumour has it that Samsung Galaxy S4 may boast a massive 5-inch display which throws it right into the phablet category. It will also have a 13MP rear camera, a bigger battery and the new EXYNOS 5440 quad-core processor, which will make the device thicker.
The iPhone 6, on the other hand, is rumoured to be released early next year and one of the possible reasons of the rumoured early release date is because Apple will be launching a redesigned iPhone.
Reports indicate that Apple is looking to switch to a 6-month cycle instead of a 1-year cycle with the iPhone to be more aggressive against competitors such as Samsung and Google. This means consumers may be able to snatch up a colourful iPhone 6 around March 2013.
Reports said that the iPhone 6 will include a "Super HD" screen display and camera. Speculations claimed that it is beyond the Full HD displays in HTC Droid DNA.
This notion is backed up by an analyst. According to Jefferies stock analyst Peter Misek, "the iPhone 5S has a new 'super HD camera/screen, a better battery, and NFC,' and 'possible updates include an IGZO screen for Retina+, 128GB storage."
Other rumours claimed that iPhone 6 will steer away from its usual hues and will offer 6 to 8 different colours to attract younger generations in buying the handset.
Samsung and Apple have not yet commented on the rumours toward its upcoming smartphone.
