Rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini may be true with images surfacing in Samsung's own app site. While the Korean tech giant has not officially announced releasing a smaller version of the Galaxy S4, observers have spotted the device on the company website.

The apps site enables users to find apps according to device. By doing so, users can instantly see what applications are compatible with their own devices. Images of Samsung devices appear on the page along with their names. Samsung Galaxy S4 appears to be one of the devices listed.

Based on its name, the Galaxy S4 mini is expected to be a smaller version of the Galaxy S4 and the design is similar to the Galaxy S3 mini. Instead of having 5-inch screen display, the Galaxy S4 mini is rumored to have 4.3 inch screen. Sources also say that the device will have a Super AMOLED display, a 1.6GHz processor and 8MP camera.

Speculators are not entirely surprised by the accidental appearance of Galaxy S4 minis on the web since Samsung launched the S3 mini just months after the release of Galaxy S3 last year.

The Galaxy S4 mini has a model number GT-I9I95 under the image found on Samsung 's apps site. The Galaxy S4 mini S4 may hopefully come in the wake of a successful campaign of 10 million sales according to distributional channel numbers in just less than a month. The Galaxy S4 was announced last April 26 of this year.

The Galaxy S4 is positioned to compete with Apple's iPhone 5. A smaller version of the Galaxy S4, the S4 mini, can generate more sales and attract new customers looking for a cheaper and smaller smartphone. Although the company has not given word about releasing an S4 mini, rumors say it is scheduled to be released in the summer. If this is true, Samsung will have another edge over Apple. The Cupertino-based tech giant confirmed its new product release during the fall which includes the long-rumored iPhone 5S.
