Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini to Disappoint Buyers with Less Powerful Processor?
Buyers are warned by the new benchmarks that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini may sport a less powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus clocked at 1.7 GHz.
New benchmarks purportedly from the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini suggest the smaller sibling of the Galaxy S4 will sport a less powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus, rather than the Exynos 5210 previously reported.
A benchmark reported by Techtastic.com shows the specs for a GT-I9190 device with a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 with an Adreno 305 GPU, as wells as Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11n. The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini's device number was GT-I8190.
Latest rumours claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will be available as soon as May 30 sharing some of the features of its brother - Samsung Galaxy S4.
Recently, alleged leaked photos of the device showed that it will include some of the features of Samsung Galaxy S4.
"Today we were able to test the Galaxy S4 Mini and made some pictures to get an idea of the phone. Our initial impressions are definitely good. Galaxy S4 Mini is not inferior in any way to his older brother. The device is extremely fast, with a great camera and a beautiful display," writes Smartnews, translated from the Bulgarian.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will likely feature either a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus processor or an Exynos 5210 dual-core processor, single or dual SIMs, a 4.3-inch 960x540 qHD display, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung's TouchWiz UX interface.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is claimed to have multiple versions with a 4.3 inch display and up to quad-core processor depending on model: a dual-SIM version, which will likely not launch in the UK, would feature a dual-core processor, while a single-sim version supporting either 3G HSPA+ or 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) connectivity would include a quad-core chip.
All versions, however, would include the same 4.3 inch Super AMOLED qHD display with a pixel density of 256 pixels per inch (PPI). According to the SamMobile's anonymous source, the handset will be available in two colours at launch: Black Mist and White Frost.
