Actor Samuel L. Jackson appeared at the Los Angeles morning show KTLA on Monday, February 10, to talk about his new film "RoboCop." However, the discussion took a detour and Mr Jackson slammed entertainment reporter Sam Rubin who mistook him for "Matrix" actor Laurence Fishburne.

According to the BuzzFeed Entertainment report, Sam Rubin started to count of the professional accomplishments of Samuel L. Jackson and included the Super Bowl commercial. "Did you get a lot of reaction from that Super Bowl commercial?" Mr Rubin asked.

The 65-year-old actor looked puzzled and responded with "What Super Bowl commercial?" for he made no appearance in a Super Bowl commercial. It was actor Laurence Fishburne who did a Matrix-themed ad on the big game event.

"You're as crazy as the people on Twitter! I'm not Laurence Fishburne. We don't all look alike! We may be black and famous, but we don't all look alike!" Mr Jackson stated over the confusion that happened. Sam Rubin, who got embarrassed for his error, immediately apologized to the actor and attempted to bring back the conversation back to the "RoboCop" film remake.

"Let's talk about Robocop," the KTLA reporter stated but the actor continued to slam the reporter and further distinguished himself from Laurence Fishburne. "You're the entertainment reporter for this station and you don't know the difference between me and Laurence Fishburne? There must be a very short line for your job," Mr Jackson stated.

Then, the actor further added: "There's more than one black guy doing commercials. I'm the 'What's in your wallet?' black guy," Jackson said, referring to his Capital One commercials. "He's the car black guy - Morgan Freeman is the other credit card black guy. You only hear his voice though, so you probably won't confuse him with Laurence Fishburne."

After the fiasco, Sam Rubin continued to apologize on air describing what happened was a "very amateur mistake" and Mr Jackson's reaction was a "well-deserved spanking." In The Wrap report, Mr Rubin stated on air: "First and foremost, I do know who Samuel L. Jackson is. I pride myself on the fact that, unlike a lot of people who do this kind of work, more often than not, I really do know what I'm talking about but I didn't 30 minutes ago. And I'm really embarrassed about it, and I very much apologize to Samuel L. Jackson and anyone else who was offended by what was a very amateur mistake."
