'Scandal' adds new recurring character for Season 6
“Scandal” will welcome a new cast member when the ABC show returns with its sixth season in January 2017. Zoe Perry has been cast in Season 6 of the ABC drama in a recurring role.
EW has confirmed that Perry is the daughter of Scandal fixture Jeff Perry who plays the role of Cyrus Beene. ABC has not yet provided information whether her character has a connection to Cyrus, the new Democratic nominee for vice president.
Perry is a familiar face on screen. She has appeared in episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice,” plus starred in ABC’s short-lived drama “The Family,” which hailed from “Scandal” writer Jenna Bans. Perry’s other credits include “Cold Case,” “My Boys” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.” She has an impressive background in theatre and was recently in a stage production with “Scandal’s” Jeff Perry and “Grey’s” star Kevin KcKidd.
ABC has not announced the first episode date when Perry will debut or how many episodes she will be in for the new season.
This drama series also stars Tony Goldwyn, Scott Foley, Darby Stanchfield, Katie Lowes, Guillermo Diaz, Bellamy Young, Joshua Molina, Portia de Rossi and Cornelius Smith Jr.
“Scandal” premieres every Thursday at 9PM in Australia.
