Scarlett Johansson looked like she was sent from old Hollywood when she received her star in the "Walk of Fame."

The 27-year-old actress looked like an old Hollywood bombshell as she donned a curve hugging dress for the ceremony matched with a glamorous updo. She also sported a bright red frock to complete the look.

Fresh from the success of her movie "The Avengers," Scarlett waved at her fans and smiled for the photographers during the event. She took the stage in front of the "Madame Tussauds" wax museum and thanked her family, friends, colleagues and fans who helped her on her career.

"We are thrilled to honor an actress who has graced the screen and stage since she was 8 years old. Over the past 18 years Scarlett has matured into a recognized cinematic presence with an impressive body of work," said Hollywood Walk of Fame producer, Ana Martinez, as she presented Scarlett to everyone who was at the event.

In her acceptance speech, the actress also mentioned that never in her years in the industry did she think about receiving a "Walk of Fame" star.

"There is never a day that goes by that I do not feel like the luckiest person in the world to have a job that I love, to be employed to do that job, to have fans that allow me to be employed at that job and to work with cast and crew members at the very, very top of their game," she said during her speech.

Avengers co-star Jeremy Renner was also present to show some support. The two worked closely on the Avengers because of the story behind their characters. And just after her action-packed movie, the actress has a new project coming up where she would be remaking one of Elizabeth Taylor's most famous roles.

"I cannot wait absolutely to get to it. I'm exhilarated, I'm terrified, but I think in a good way," she told Variety magazine.

Recently, Scarlett was seen on set to play "Psycho" star Janet Leigh. She is part of the upcoming film about legendary director Alfred Hitchcock.
