The Brazilian astronomers have announced their discovery of a new and very bright comet called C/2014 E2 (Jacques) with the use of the SONEAR (Southern Observatory for Near Earth Asteroids Research) close to Oliveira, Brazil. Barros detected their second comet through the CCD images captured with a a 0.45-meter (17.7-inch) wide-field reflector at the SONEAR observatory.

In Arizona, an unnamed witness filed a report in the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database about a UFO sighting in Sahuarita that happened on Wednesday, March 12. The witness recounted in the report that a “glowing vertical cylinder” appeared at about 6:05 am with rays of light coming from the unidentified flying object.

NASA researchers, who have been working on the Europa Clipper plan for years, will be able to observe the moon’s ice shell and subsurface ocean with the use of different science instruments when the probe makes several flybys on Europa.
