Fans of squeaky teen star, Selena Gomez, will be shocked to see her cast in the film adaptation of the erotic novel "50 Shades of Gray", but she's willing to help ease the transition, even if it takes a parody video to do that.

Hollywood is hooked on E.L. James best-selling erotica novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey". So much so that A-list celebrities are lining up to play the parts in the novel. Former Disney Princess, Selena Gomez, joins the bandwagon of celebs caught reading the novel.

The 19-year old pop princess posted a photo of herself reading the erotica novel "Fifty Shades of Grey". This caused quite a stir with young fans of the starlet especially with the news that Selena was set to star as Anastasia Steele.

Yet, before fans go on an outrage saying Selena is still too young, Selena lived the role as Anastasia Steele for "Funny or Die". Based from the name alone, it would be obvious it's all fun and games.

Casting for "Fifty Shades" has not even begun but Selena Gomez's' name has been mentioned a few times. Selena may be too young and innocent but considering her acting ability she could be a worthy actress to play Anastasia Steele. A few other Hollywood celebrities wanted as Anna are Kristen Stewart, Elizabeth Olsen and Amanda Seyfried.

So while Selena is injecting sense of humor into E.L. James' sexually enticing novel, readers are coming up with numerous lists of actors and actresses who should be in the film. It would still be a long way from casting given Lionsgate still hasn't finalized filming details. All fans can do is cross their fingers.

Selena's hilarious "Fifty Shades of Grey" parody is just one of her side projects. The 19-year old singer had finished filming on "Spring Breakers" which is pretty much her break-out Disney image flick.

Selena's other upcoming flicks include "The Getaway" with Ethan Hawke, "Hotel Transylvania" with Adam Sandler and "13 Reasons Why". Even with the initial announcement at the beginning of the year about quitting the music, Selena is set to release two albums this year. Gomez fans have definitely a lot to look forward this year, from movies to music plus maybe a little bit more.
