There is no other Hollywood couple as complicated as the "Jelena" duo. After tabloids claiming that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are back together, new reports claim that the two have reconciled as "just friends." Even Selena Gomez finally speaks up on the matter and clears rumours up once and for all.

Fans of the "Jelena" duo have been on one hell of a rollercoaster ride. From the break-ups to the make-ups, "Jelena" shippers have held on for a while. Yet, it looks like it's finally time to let go because this is what Selena Gomez has planned to do all along.

Early reports last week claim that the on-off and on again couple have got back together following their reunion last July 4. However, the reports fail to state the reconciliation was not a romantic one. Instead, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber reconciled as "friends." In finality, there is no "Jelena" couple.

"We had a difficult break-up but actually reconciled as friends soon afterwards. As everyone will know from newspaper stories, there have been other people in both of our lives. Who knows what might happen in the future," stated Gomez in an interview with The Gulf Times.

Given Bieber's many hook-ups since the start of the year, it's obvious that he and Selena are over and done as boyfriend and girlfriend. All that remains between them is a spark of friendship. Fans should expect nothing more from Selena and Justin. This of course means that while Justin is free to date other women, Selena too is free to mingle and flirt with other men.

Even with the said "friendship" between Selena and Justin, web tabloids claim that the former "Jelena" duo is sticking to the "Friends with Benefits" set-up. True "Selenators" and "Beliebers" believe otherwise of course.
