Hear ye, Hear ye! Glamour magazine selected the actress and singer, Selena Gomez as one of the "Women of the Year". "Selenators", better get their hands on the December issue of Glamour Magazine because Selena Gomez will be on the cover.

Gomez made it as one of the "Women of the Year" partly for her career. However, apart from the acting and singing, Selena is the youngest UNICEF ambassador of all-time which proves celebrities can definitely pull off the super hero mode if they choose to do so. The "Wizards of Waverly Place" star is also part of the Ryan Seacrest Foundation which creates programs for pediatric hospitals for severely injured kids.

"I didn't even know I was a woman, which is crazy to think about, because I am 20 years old. I still feel young at heart," said Gomez, adding, "It's an extreme honor, since I am all over the place, so when I have people notice the hard work, not just that I do, but everyone who is a part of my team, who helps me do what I love. So when that's acknowledged, I am honored."

Fans are surely praising the Latina singer and actress but they aren't the only ones impressed by the star. Selena's latest BFF, Taylor Swift, is among a few celebrities who had nothing but praise for the star.

"Selena is my most fun, spontaneous and energetic friend, who is always up for an adventure," said Swift, adding, "She's giving back to people who need help, because of her own life experience. She's the exception to so many rules."

Gomez opened up to the magazine about her friendship with Swift and explained how their relationship is just as normal as any other friendship.

"Taylor's amazing. She's so smart and sweet and humble - and she's way more successful than I am! So when I see her after everything she's been through and she just wants to go home and bake cookies with me," said Gomez, adding, "That, to me, is awesome."

Of course, the topic about Gomez and Bieber had been brought up. The two had said to be on the brink of a break-up but with so many rumors in Hollywood, fans better check their sources.

"I adore his fans. I would never, ever want to disrespect them," explained Selena, adding, "You know, I get it: I was obsessed with Jesse McCartney growing up! He was my world. My high school crush. So I respect it, and if anything, I admire it."
