Former Disney stars have a knack for getting themselves inked. While Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato are just two Disney princesses who love getting their expressions of art etched permanently onto their skins, Selena Gomez isn't one to feel left out because she finally gets inked.

Despite the fame she's acquired through her television show, music and movies, Selena Gomez remains as humble as ever. She's seen as the perfect role model with her choice of clothes and her choice of friends. Apart from never being spotted getting wasted at a club, Selena would rather spend her free time at Disneyland with her equally charming beau, Justin Bieber.

Though it's a break from the norm, Selena Gomez finally gets a tattoo. It isn't as detailed and huge as Justin Bieber's Jesus tattoo on his calf but instead a smaller tat of a heart. If the saying goes "Leave your heart on your sleeve", then it's the complete opposite for Selena where she leaves her heart on her wrist.

The 19-year old stepped out without the Bieber and decided to get herself inked at the Under The Gun Tattoo Shop at Hollywood last February 22. The owner of the shop, Louie Gomez, created Selena's tiny tattoo of which one of his workers, Jordan Sandoval, took chance of photographing and tweeting to his followers.

"@TMZ She got a little heart tattoo at Under The Gun, in Hollywood by Louie Gomez @selenagomez twitpic.com/8ngntq," tweeted Jordan.

The tweet of Selena Gomez posing with her new tattoo beside Sandoval was an instant hit with Selena Gomez's followers. Fans retweeted his post and a whole lot bombarded him with questions about Selena's visit and her tattoo.

One follower asked if Selena had felt nervous during the process to which Sandoval replied.

"@SAMMYY_xo No, she wasn't nervous. She is way cute," said Jordan.

Given that Selena's newest ink is in the shape of a heart, would it be dedicated to the Bieber somehow? Though the Bieber wasn't around during Selena's ink session, it could be just Selena's way of starting out the process of expressing her form of art by etching it onto her skin, "little by little."
