The two-minute clip takes off from the last scene in “Shades of Blue” Season 1 finale, deemed to be one of the series’ most talked about storylines. Spoiler alert! This update contains more "Shades of Blue" spoilers.
In the sneak peek posted on the official Facebook page of “Shades of Blue,” fans are reminded of what happened in the Season 1 finale. After breaking into her home, Miguel started assaulting Harlee, kissing her all over while threatening her with a gun. He also promised to punish her and her daughter, making Harlee cry in fear. As he trailed kisses from her neck down, she trapped his neck between her legs and twisted it, killing him instantly.
The trailer continues with what happens after Harlee’s brave act. She hovers over his lifeless body, looking completely shocked with what happened. She suddenly snaps back to reality and mutters her daughter’s name. Harlee runs to her phone and answers a call from Cristina Santos (Sarah Jeffery), but the connection seems to be off. She walks back and forth frantically, trying to think of her next steps. Her gaze falls on the shower curtain and pulls it down, suggesting that she’s going to cover up the murder.
Harlee’s crime – and how it impacts her future – is just one of the exciting storylines to watch out for on “Shades of Blue” Season 2. In a previous teaser, Matt Wozniak (Ray Liotta) is seen being recruited by FBI Agent Robert Stahl (Warren Kole) to dig dirt about Julia Ayres (Anna Gunn), who’s running for mayor. The trailer shows Wozniak mixing business and pleasure as he shares steamy scenes with the candidate.
“Shades of Blue,” which was renewed by NBC in June 2016, will also feature other returning characters Tess Nazario (Drea de Matteo), Marcus Tufo (Hampton Fluker) and Michael Loman (Dayo Okeniyi). “Shades of Blue” Season 2 premieres on March 5. Stay tuned for more “Shades of Blue” Season 2 spoilers.
