'Shadowhunters' season 3 premiere spoilers: Simon spends time in the Seelie Court

"Shadowhunters 3," starring Katherine McNamara as Clarissa "Clary" Fairchild, Harry Shum Jr as Magnus Bane, Dominic Sherwood as Jonathan Christopher "Jace" Wayland, Alberto Rosende as Simon Lewis, Isaiah Mustafa as Luke Garroway and Matthew Daddario as Alec Lightwood, will have a new episode titled "On Infernal Ground," which airs on Tuesday in the US. It will feature the aftermath of Valentine's (Alan Van Sprang) death.

Spoiler alert: This update has additional 'Shadowhunters' spoilers 2018. Read on only if you want to know more about what happens in 'On Infernal Ground.'

According to a press release from Freeform, "Shadowhunters" season 3, episode 1 will show the Downworlders adjusting their lives after Valentine's demise. Hidden things still abound in their world, after all, including Clary's secret about Raziel (Anthony Head - voice) and her wish involving Jace. Meanwhile, Lilith (Anna Hopkins) will set a plan into motion in New York City. As for Alec, he will push Jace to spill out what he and Clary have been hiding.

Plus, Simon will spend some time in the Seelie Court. Elsewhere, Magnus will keep his real feelings hidden to Alec regarding his new position in the community of Warlocks. Luke will also try to keep his secret hidden from Ollie (Alexandra Ordolis) who is hellbent on getting much-needed answers. Matt Hastings directed this episode, which was written by Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin.

'On Infernal Ground' guest stars

The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) reports that "On Infernal Ground" will feature Brooks Darnell (Charlie Cooper), Randal Edwards (Tim Dempsey), Chai Hansen (Jordan Kyle), Gina Phillips (Young Professional Woman), Alisha Wainwright (Maia Roberts) and Sophia Walker (Catarina Loss). The rest of the "Shadowhunters" cast such as David Castro (Raphael Santiago) and Emeraude Toubia (Isabelle Lightwood), will also be seen in the "Shadowhunters" season 3 premiere episode.

'Shadowhunters' episodes: 'Beside Still Water' and 'The Powers That Be'

The episode before "On Infernal Ground" was the "Shadowhunters 2" finale titled "Beside Still Water," which aired in the US on Aug. 14, 2017. It showed a dying Jonathan using his blood to summon the wraith demons in Manhattan. He also summoned Raziel and eventually killed Jace in the final and deadly battle. Unfortunately for Valentine, an enraged Clary also stabbed and killed him. Aside from that, Clary wished for Jace to be resurrected.

Meanwhile, Simon and Luke went to Magnus after Maia (Alisha Wainwright) got abducted. Plus, Alec and Magnus decided to get back together. "Beside Still Water" was also directed by Hastings and written by Slavkin and Swimmer.

"Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments" season 3 starts airing in Australia on Wednesday on Netflix. It airs in the US on Freeform every Tuesday from 8-9 pm ET/PT. After "On Infernal Ground," the next episode is "The Powers That Be" and it will air in the US on March 27. Stay tuned for more "Shadowhunters" TV spoilers and updates in the coming weeks.
