Maria Sharapova's beau Grigor Dimitrov has saved a ball girl from passing out during his match against Kei Nishikori at the Sony Open on March 23. The compassionate concern that Dimitrov has shown for the well-being of others has gained a lot of positive praises in the social media.

Dimitrov's unambiguous kind-heartedness was shown in this video.

According to the Daily Mail, Dimitrov was battling a tie-breaker with Nishikori in the first set when he approached the ball girl asking a towel. The ball girl reportedly did seem to nudge a bit after Dimitrov has repeated his demand for a towel a number of times. It was then that Dimitrov noticed that the ball girl was feeling a little bit under the weather. The Web site reported that the temperature during the match was recorded at 90 degrees.

Dimitrov is out of the 2014 Sony Open or also known as the Miami Masters after he lost to Nishikori in the said match. The Japanese athlete defeated Dimitrov in two straight sets. Dimitrov's loss is his second against the Japanese athlete, Novinite.com reported. It is anticipated that Dimitrov will climb up the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) world rankings to the fourteenth spot, depending on the performance of the other participant athletes in the tournament. Otherwise, Dimitrov will retain his position.

Dimitrov's next tournament will be the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters which will run from April 12 to April 20 at Monte-Carlo in Monaco. He played in the 2013 Monte-Carlo tournament. His performance last year, after reaching the semifinals before losing to World No. 1 Rafael Nadal, paved the way for the Bulgarian athlete to enter the Top 30 of the ATP rankings, at number 28.

Currently, Dimitrov sits at the sixteenth place of the ATP rankings.
