Sharon Osbourne on Taylor Swift vs Kanye West: 'I honestly think that Kanye is obsessed with Taylor Swift'
The English media personality shared her honest insight on the #KimExposedTaylor
Sharon Osbourne, wife of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, spoke up on the issue concerning Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift. The 63-year-old "X Factor" judge said that Kanye, a.k.a. Yeezy, was obviously obsessed with the Billboard-topping singer-songwriter.
"I honestly think that Kanye is obsessed with Taylor Swift. Seriously, he has an obsession. I think he's obsessed with the power that she has, with the money that she has," Sharon said on the US talk show "The Talk." The episode was aired on CBS in the US on Monday.
"He never thought that Taylor would become the powerhouse that she has become," Sharon continued. "And he doesn't have that power in the music industry that she has."
The English television personality strongly believed that Kanye was desperately pursuing Taylor's fame and success. According to her, it was the very reason why the "All of the Lights" rapper had been trying to bring Taylor down for eight years with fake friendships, insults and false rumours. However, he has chosen the wrong person to harass.
"I think that Taylor should go back to what she does best, writing her songs, recording. Forget it's got to stop," the English host said. "This whole thing with Taylor Swift and Kanye West and now the Kardashians are coming in, it's ugly.” Sharon also advised Taylor to "rise above the rest."
Sharon is one of the celebrities who are defending Taylor. Others include "If I Stay" actress Chloe Grace Moretz and Taylor's long-time best friend, Selena Gomez. According to Perez Hilton, despite Kim Kardashian-West's successful attempt at "exposing" the 26-year-old singer, there are still those who choose to side with Taylor.
In the June 22 episode of "The Talk," Sharon also made an appearance along with Mel B and said that the both of them were siding with Taylor. At that time, the issue regarding the pop-singer's case against Kanye's controversial single "Famous" was the hot topic.
