R& B singer Ne-Yo has come out and defended himself over allegations that he had dissed “Irreplaceable” hitmaker, Beyonce Knowles in his recent interview asking his take on the single’s success.

The “So Sick” hitmaker said Aceshowbiz has insisted that the strings of posts on his Twitter account have no intention of offending anyone.

Ne-Yo was referring to the remarks posted on his Twitter account in reaction to what he said in a separate interview expressing his wishes to have recorded “Irreplaceable” himself.

As quoted by the celebrity website, Ne-Yo’s original statement reads: "One song that I gave away and didn't want to is Beyonce's 'Irreplaceable'. I honestly wrote that song for myself... However, a man singing it comes across a little bit misogynistic, a little bit mean."

Such remark has ensued criticism with mostly accusing the R&B singer of dissing Beyonce.

Explaining what he meant by his original statement, Ne-Yo has posted on his Twitter page several tweets to further clarify what was earlier said.

In one of the Tweets, Ne-Yo began: "Just heard the audio where I supposedly dissed Beyonce. Are y'all serious!?! Did y'all even listen to what I said!?!"

The singer continued, said Aceshowbiz, reiterating it was true he wanted to record the single himself but decided not to after he realized that the song would sound better if sang by a woman.

Ne-Yo added that that prompted him to give the song he wrote for himself to the “Crazy in Love” hitmaker.

"I said I originally wrote the song for me. That's true, so of course I didn't want to give it away originally. It was for me. Once I realized how the song comes across if sang by a guy, that's when I decided to give it away. How is that dissing Beyonce!?! She took the song and made it a smash, nobody can deny that," the singer insisted, said Aceshowbiz.
