Sony Unveils 1TB Energy-Efficient PlayStation 4
Sony unveils an all new PlayStation 4 which is expected to be one-tenth lighter than the current version, energy- efficient (consumption will reduce by eight per cent) and will come with a massive storage of 1TB. The new model is expected to be out in the market by the end of this month.
AT the E3 conference Sony displayed upgraded upcoming games. New games would require more space. Thus, without disappointing the consumers soon after the E3 conference launched its new PS4. The PS4 Ultimate Player Edition will have double storage than the current version. The announcement also followed a similar roll out of a new 1TB model of Xbox from Microsoft just ahead of the E3 conference. The extra storage can be utilized in any ways the user feels like. Thus here is an opportunity for the users to load their PCs with movies, music, DLC games, photos, myriad add-ons and extras to expand the games even further.
Sony PlayStation game consoles have always been user upgradeable. Thus, allowing the users to have an universal experience. The new PS4 will flaunt a more casual look with matte finish in “glacier white” and “jet black”. The company mentions in the press release that the PS4’s games portfolio will continue to expand with highly anticipated titles from third-party publishers.
Sony Computer Entertainment is ready to release popular title like Until Dawn, The Tomorrow’s Children, and Metal Gear Solid V to name the few. Sony has not come up with the pricing of the product. The company only confirmed that the new version will be first launched in Japan followed by North America, Europe and Asian Countries. The 1TB PS4 Ultimate Player Edition will be launched in Europe on 15th July, 2015. The release date in North America is yet to be confirmed.
