Certification forum by North American cellular operators PTCRB recently certified software versions for four Sony Xperia smartphones. Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2 have been certified with firmware build version 23.1.A.0.740 while 19.3.A.0.470 for Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3.

Sony Xperia Z3 And Xperia Z2 23.1.A.0.740 Certified Firmware Build

PTCRB recently certified a new firmware build for Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2 devices. According to the certification forum, 23.1.A.0.740 is the upcoming software version for Xperia Z3 D6603 and Xperia Z3 Compact D5803 certified in April 20, 2015. It is also possible for Sony to use the same software build version for Xperia Z2 devices because of the shared 23.1.A.0.726 firmware version certified in Xperia Z2, Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact.

Official software support webpage of Sony Mobile for Xperia Z3 is still at 23.1.A.0.690 build version as the latest software running Android 5.0 Lollipop. It is the same software available for Sony Xperia Z2 released in April 7, 2015. Here is the official changelog 23.1.A.0.690 firmware version:

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra And Xperia C3 19.3.A.0.470 Certified Firmware Build

PTCRB also certified a new firmware build with version number 19.3.A.0.470 for Sony Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3. According to XperiaBlog, the new firmware version is marginally higher compared to the previous 19.3.A.0.468 version.

Owners of Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 should not be confused by the Android 4.4 KitKat as the latest available software posted at the official software support webpage. Scrolling down below the page will determine that the latest version is Android 5.0 Lollipop. Upcoming certified 19.3.A.0.470 for these smartphones is expected to be released soon.
