The "50 Shades of Grey" hype continues along the lines of mayhem and madness.

Fans and readers alike are all in hype to find out whom among Hollywood's best and brightest has managed to nab the lead roles. While the author, E.L. James, says casting is still a long way to go, it has not stopped fans from casting their own protégés. Though there is one potential actor up for Christian Grey, Alexander Skarsgard of "True Blood" is completely clueless.

Book forums and fandom from around the world has complied their list of potential A-list actors up for Christian Grey. One actor who is up for the role and landing fourth place as the most wanted Grey is the brooding vampire from "True Blood", Alexander Skarsgard.

Ironically, Alexander is completely clueless about it. During the Comic-Con at San Diego, Alexander was present along with "True Blood" cast. While Alexander definitely said that the role of Grey is for him simply because of the sex chamber mentioned in the books, the role of the 27-year old entrepreneur still hasn't been offered for Alexander by Universal and Focus Pictures.

"I haven't read the book ['Fifty Shades of Grey'] and I haven't seen a script," explained the HBO "True Blood" star during the show's Comic-Con question and answer session.

"He's just lived the life," says Skarsgard about the movement supporting him as Christian Grey. "All I heard is he's got a chamber in his basement," continued Skarsgard.

Apparently, that was all Skarsgard had to say about the highly-coveted role. Other actors in the running for the highly-acclaimed film adaptation include Ryan Gosling the Hottest Man Alive of 2011, Ian Somerhalder of "Vampire Diaries", Channing Tatum of "Magic Mike" and Chace Crawford of "Gossip Girl".

Putting aside "The Fifty Shades of Grey" hype, Alexander Skarsgard still has his fangs on for the beloved vampire series "True Blood". The love for the show is sure enough to continue with over six seasons added to the show. This would only mean if Alexander doesn't manage to nab the role as Grey, then fans of the handsome actor is left to see him bare his fangs plus more on "True Blood".
