Donald Glover recently revealed in his new interview that he will be “honoured to play" Spiderman. However, the actor did not reveal any affirmative information about his involvement in the next “Spider-Man” movie.

The actor who appeared at the Today’s show said, “I can't say I'm the next Spider-Man.” But when he was asked that can he confirm that he is not playing Spiderman he said, “I can't say that either. I mean, it's not out yet." Donald also added that the decision of casting the Spiderman is up to the studios involved, however, he added that he will be good at playing the part just like Amazing Spiderman.

Donald has lent his voice to Miles Morales/Spider-Man in American animated series by Marvel “Ultimate Spider-Man.” According to Ree Hines of Today, Glover’s fans also wanted him to play Spiderman in “The Amazing Spider-Man” series before Andrew Garfield got the part.

It is yet not known who will play the part of Spiderman in the upcoming “Spider-Man” film but there is plenty of buzz about the casting of Peter Parker/ Spiderman. Dan Slott, the writer of “The Amazing Spider-Man” comic book had discussed the possibilities of Peter Parker’s role in his previous interview to The Verge. “There’s nothing inherently white about Peter Parker. Peter Parker is a nerdy outcast. Anybody, from any walk of life, can be a nerdy outcast,” he had said.

Spiderman introduction to MCU was confirmed after the recent Sony-Marvel deal. Doug Belgrad, president, Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group had said in statement that “Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios share a love for the characters” and the new deal is the best way to move forward with Peter Parker’s story, according to Marvel.

The last two Spiderman films were “The Amazing Spider-Man 1” and “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.” The first got positive critical response however; the second one did received mixed response. Both the films starred Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. It is yet not known what will be the storyline of the new Spider-man film, but it is scheduled to be released in 2016.
