'Spring Breakers' Once Again Debut New Stills [PHOTOS]
Selena Gomez's highly-anticipated film, "Spring Breakers" is set for a 2013 release. Yet, that isn't stopping the studio and director Harmony Korine from continuously releasing stills from the film and set. Take a look at the bikini-clad babes in all their glory.
Everyone is dying to see Selena Gomez shed her good girl image. Given Selena is already out of the Disney contract, mature film roles are already piling up. The first of which had already ended filming last May was "Spring Breakers" directed by Harmony Korine.
"Spring Breakers" tells the story of four college girls who rob a store to fund their spring break. It would have been a non-fuss and stress-free break if not for the drunken drama plus deals with a drug dealer on the side. Selena Gomez is joined by another former Disney star, Vanessa Hudgens in the film. Also included in the cast is "Pretty Little Liars" Ashley Benson and Korine's twin, Rachel Korine.
Surprisingly, the amount of skin the four girls manage to display isn't the only thing worth watching out for. Fans of the do-gooder Selena will be shocked to see her get drunk, wasted plus smoke packets of cigarettes. Though not without a high price to pay, Selena had to go under training just to make the smoking part believable on film.
"I'd never smoked a cigarette before in my entire life," explained Selena. "It was really funny - they had to show me how to do it."
The film made an early sneak peak preview at the Cannes Film Festival where it received a lot of positive feedback. Selena and the acting of the other three girls were undeniably too good that people kept close tabs on the film. Numerous tweets about "Spring Breakers" still continue which definitely warrants a box office hit once the film hits the big screen in 2013.
Also included in the edgy and sexy film is Oscar nominee, James Franco, who plays the drug dealer the girls get involved with. Originally, rapper RiFF RaFF was up for the part but with endless music projects on his end the part had been given to James Franco.
For now, fans best get satisfied with a few stills released by Division Films.
