'Star Wars: Episode 8': Leaked picture of speeder from set; filming update from Dubrovnik
A leaked picture from the production set of “Star Wars: Episode 8” shows a partially covered speeder. Filming at this location is scheduled to begin on March 9 and the crew has started to test the set to make sure that all the set pieces are ready for the shoot.
The picture posted on Mos Croatia shows a partially covered speeder surrounded by the crew. The security is beginning to be tightened around the set and a screen had been put around the ship, to hide it from onlookers. The picture, however, was taken from top.
A report from The Dubrovnik Times states that the production crew has started testing the set in Dubrovnik. Construction at this site has been going on for many days now and the crew has converted the entrance of some of the shops and have given it an alien look with electronic panels and other additions.
According to the report, the crew is testing the site for night filming. It is still not clear which of the cast members will be filming their scenes here. None of the cast members of “Star Wars: Episode 8” have been spotted on the set so far. Filming at this location is set to take place between March 9 and 16.
The security around the set are using “drone guards,” who will be using frequency blockers and long distance jammers to take out any drone that tries to come near the set. A lot pictures from the set had leaked online from the J.J. Abrams movie, which have prompted the producers to take extra precautions this time around.
It is still not clear what the title of “Star Wars: Episode 8” will be. According to a report by Comic Book Movie, two titles have surfaced online. While one report says that the title will be “Star Wars: Tale of the Jedi Temple,” the other says that it will be “Star Wars: The Order of the Dark Side.” Readers are advised to treat these reports as rumours at this time.
