'Star Wars: Episode 8' spoilers: Scene description of an action sequence
A scene description from the production set of “Star Wars: Episode 8” has surfaced online. The cast and crew apparently filmed an action scene in Dubrovnik and they involved speeders.
[Spoiler alert]
According to a report by Making Star Wars, about 10 actors were involved in the action sequence filmed at Stradun. The scene was focused on a “dignitary” surrounded by her bodyguards. The dignitary has been described as a “fair-haired, mid-aged jeweled female.”
The dignitary is surrounded by her handmaidens and also male bodyguards. The bodyguards are a mixture of “muppet-like” aliens and humans. During the scene, the group heads towards a speeder car.
When an Asian-American and a Caucasian bodyguards approach the car there is an explosion. The scene appears to be an assassination attempt on the dignitary’s life. It is not clear if the dignitary is a surviving member of the new Senate.
The First Order destroyed Hosnian system in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The planet Hosnian Prime in the Hosnian system was the new capital of the New Republic. The New Republic was formed after the fall of the Empire and the death of Palpatine.
It is not clear if the remaining planets will attempt to rebuild the Galactic Republic and house the Senate on another planet in “Star Wars: Episode 8.” The franchise has been introducing new planets in the fictitious planet.
The First Order has also suffered a major setback and may be busy rebuilding in the forthcoming movie. Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) is yet to complete his training and the next movie is expected to introduce another villainous character, played by Benicio Del Toro.
“Star Wars: Episode 8” is being directed by Rian Johnson. The movie is slated to be released on Dec. 15, 2017 in Australia and the US. The cast members of the movie include Andy Serkis (Supreme Leader Snoke), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux) Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Daisy Ridley (Rey) and John Boyega (Finn).
