'Star Wars: Episode 8' theories about Supreme Leader Snoke's appearance and identity
Theories about the identity and appearance of Supreme Leader Snoke continue to dominate the discussions of “Star Wars: Episode 8.” New theories about the character have surfaced online that attempt to look at the possible ways the character will be portrayed in the upcoming movie.
[Spoiler alert]
Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) only appeared in hologram communication in “The Force Awakens.” The large towering figure with a scarred face got many wondering about the actual height of the character. A theory posted on the YouTube channel of Mike Zeroh talks about the appearance of the character in the next movie.
According to Mike, the film could take the route of “Wizard of Oz” and show the villainous character to look entirely different from what the viewers saw in “The Force Awakens.” So the scarred face of the character could be an illusion the character uses for some reason. Another theory is that the character looks like the hologram, but scaled down and with different textures.
Mike believes that the fans will get to see Supreme Leader Snoke in the flesh in “Star Wars: Episode 8.”
Another theory posted by Mike talks about a theory by Leah S, a fan. According to the theory the question we should be asking is not who is Supreme Leader Snoke, but rather what is he? The fan states that it is possible that the character is the manifestation of pure Dark Side energy.
The theory goes on to state that Serkis’ character may have been the source of Emperor Palpatine’s power. Leah points out that the injuries on the face of the character look more like birth defects, and Dark Side Force degradation could be the cause for this.
Leah points out that it is interesting to see Supreme Leader Snoke went on to build a bigger version of the Death Star in “The Force Awakens.” The fan also says that the villainous character needs someone balanced on his side, because he is already pure Dark Side. That’s why he chose Ben Solo (Adam Driver) as his apprentice.
The training of Kylo Ren is set to continue in “Star Wars: Episode 8.” Will Supreme Leader Snoke appear in the flesh in the movie? Please leave your comments below.
