'Star Wars: The Force Awakens': New pictures of Kylo Ren and others
A new set of pictures including a crossguard lightsaber wielding Kylo Ren from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has surfaced online. The pictures also show the lead characters of the movie on the planet Jakku as well as the iconic Millennium Falcon spaceship.
The J.J. Abrams movie will be the focus of Empire magazine’s next issue. A new picture of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in what appears to be a jungle planet has been posted on the magazine’s website. Driver can be seen wearing his mask and carrying a crossguard lightsaber in the said photo.
More pictures from the magazine’s next issue have been posted on Hypable. The images show two different cover photos. The villains Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie) and General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) can be seen in one poster. The heroes Finn (John Boyega), Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) can be seen in the other poster along with the Millennium Falcon and the BB-8 droid.
The trailers and the posters of the movie show that the main plot of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” revolves around Finn, a former Stormtrooper, joining hands with Rey on the desert planet of Jakku to fight the First Order. A lightsaber, which appears to belong to Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), may also be of some significance in the movie.
A set of pictures showing scenes from the movie was previously posted on Entertainment Weekly. One of the pictures shows Finn and Rey being chased by the Stormtroopers of the First Order in what appears to be the desert planet of Jakku. There is also a picture of Kylo Ren wielding his crossguard lightsaber in a snow planet.
The photos also tease some of the scenes shown in the trailer, like Finn crash landing on Jakku in a TIE fighter and a scene featuring Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) entering the Millennium Falcon. A few behind-the-scenes pictures of the movie were also posted on Entertainment Weekly, showing Abrams working with some of the actors while filming their scenes.
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is slated to be released on Dec 17, 2015 in Australia. Some of the other cast members of the movie are Carrie Fisher (Leia), Andy Serkis (Supreme Leader Snoke), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Max Von Sydow, Simon Pegg and Warwick Davis.
