‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’premiere: Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver hug on the red carpet
The Hollywood premiere of J.J. Abrams’ “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” took place in Los Angeles, California on Monday. Among the cast members who were spotted on the red carpet were Oscar Isaac, 36, and Adam Driver, 32.
Isaac and Driver were spotted hugging on the red carpet at the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” premiere. The latter’s wife, “Listen Up Philip” star Joanne Tucker, was also spotted posing on the red carpet, according to Just Jared.
In “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” Isaac plays the sardonic, daring and roguish Resistance X-wing fighter pilot named Poe Dameron. Considered the best pilot in the galaxy, the character is sent by a certain princess on a mission, and he ends up meeting Finn (John Boyega).
Before filming “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” Isaac met Director Abrams at the Café de Flore in Paris, where he read scenes from the film script on the director’s iPhone. After that, the two discussed the story of the movie and his role.
In an interview with GQ, Isaac revealed that Abrams told him his role was intense, heroic and dramatic one. “I didn't know if I could make it interesting. I didn't know why me and not anybody else,” the actor said.
Meanwhile, Driver plays commander of the First Order named Kylo Ren, who is also "a dark warrior strong with the Force" and originally a member of the Knights of Ren. The character is also said to be dangerous and unpredictable.
After starring in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” Driver will star in the 2016 films “Silence,” “Midnight Special” and “Paterson.” He is also set to reprise his role as Adam Sackler in “Girls” Season 5.
