'Star Wars Rebels' season 3 episode 14 preview video: Sabine prepares to lead

Two preview videos of “Star Wars Rebels” season 3 episode 14 have been released online. The episode is titled “Trials of the Darksaber,” and will focus on Sabine learning to master the weapon she acquired recently to rally her people to the cause against the Empire.

Sabine (Voice by Tiya Sircar) was able to pick up the Darksaber from Maul’s (Voice by Sam Witwer) home previously. Now, she will learn to use it effectively. A preview video [See below] shows her training with the weapon.

Kanan (Voice by Freddie Prinze Jr.) will be teaching the dueling techniques in the next episode. With time and practice, Sabine will start to connect with the Darksaber. The training will not be easy, but she is committed and will not quit.

It is important for Sabine to learn to master the Darksaber. Using this weapon she can claim the leadership position in Mandalore, and rally its people to join the fight against the Empire.

“Star Wars Rebels” season 3 episode 14 will also reveal the back story of the Darksaber. The weapon was built by the first Mandalorian to be inducted into the Jedi Order, which was over a thousand years ago.

The Darksaber was kept at the Jedi Temple after the death of its owner. A group of Mandalorians belonging to the Vizsla clan stole the weapon and used it as a symbol to claim the leadership position on the planet, after unifying the different warring factions. Will Sabine emerge as the new leader to repeat history and rule the planet with her new weapon?

A group of Mandalorians had previously defected to the Empire and were renamed Imperial Supercommandos. So, it will not be easy to unify the planet under a new leadership. “Star Wars Rebels” season 3 episode 14 can be watched on Disney XD in Australia.
