'Star Wars Rebels' Season 3 episode 9 preview video and plot: Back to Lothal

It is back to the planet Lothal in “Star Wars Rebels” Season 3 episode 9, titled “An Inside Man.” A preview video of the next episode teases the heroes fighting the Empire on the home world of Ezra. The plot synopsis released online reveals what the team is up to now.

A scene from the next episode has been posted in a video (see below) on the official YouTube channel of the franchise. The scene shows Ezra Bridger (Taylor Gray) and Kanan Jarrus (Freddie Prinze Jr.) fighting their way through a group of Stormtroopers.

The Empire appears to know of the Rebel activity on the planet and have set up a road block to prevent their escape. However, the Jedi skills of the two characters and their lightsabers will make short work of the Stormtroopers.

According to the official plot synopsis of the episode, the Rebels are looking for information about a new imperial weapon in “Star Wars Rebels” Season 3 episode 9. Ezra and Kanan will have to break into a factory in Lothal to get what they are looking for.

Getting into the factory is the easy part, the two Jedi will have a difficult time getting out. As the episode is titled “An Inside Man,” the two characters will have to “trust an enemy” if they want to get out before the building is locked down.

It is not clear of the next episode is another filler before the storyline starts to focus on the more important aspects of the plot. Will the Empire’s new weapon have an impact going forward?

The last two episodes of “Star Wars Rebels” Season 3 will be of great significance in the journey of Ezra. The plot of the episodes will once again focus on Darth Maul. Will the Jedi be free of his Sith teacher or will he be pulled into the Dark Side once again?
