'Star Wars: Resistance': First look at heroes and villains
The heroes and the villains of “Star Wars Resistance” have been teased in a new picture that has surfaced online. The animation TV series is set at a time just before the events in “The Force Awakens,” and it is expected to shed more light on the growth of the First Order and the Resistance movement.
A picture posted on Twitter gives the fans the first look of the upcoming TV series. On the heroes’ side the fans get to see the main hero Kazuda Xiono, a young pilot in the Resistance who is tasked with a top secret mission to find out what the First Order is up to.
Kazuda will be joined by four others, three of whom appear to be alien characters. There is also a new Astromech droid, and BB-8 from the main movies series will be joining the show.
There is also a new ship that the picture teases. This appears to be the fighter ship that Kazuda will pilot.
On the villains’ side, the big baddie appears to be a character like Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie). The character may get a black suit, or the metallic armour of Phasma. There also appears to be a new Stormtrooper unit that will be introduced in the TV series. This new unit will get red armour. The picture also teases the regular Stormtroopers in white and the TIE fighters of the First Order.
The producers are yet to announce an exact release date for the new TV series, but Walt Disney France executives appear to have revealed the month in which the show will air. According to a report by ComicBookMovie.com, the executives revealed at a French event that the show will air in October.
Dave Filoni is the creator of “Star Wars Resistance.” The confirmed cast members from the main movie series are Christie and Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron).
