The first “Star Wars” anthology film “Rogue One” is rumoured to feature Darth Vader. A report claimed the iconic villain will be shown through cinematic visual effects.

Some details about “Star Wars: Rogue One” has been leaked online while production for the film continues in secret. A source told Devin Faraci from Birth.Movies.Death that Darth Vader will appear in the movie through viewscreen or hologram projection.

The source reportedly also shared some details about Darth Vader’s role in “Star Wars: Rogue One.” “He will not be the main antagonist but he will be working behind the scenes, pulling strings and will appear onscreen,” Faraci revealed.

However, Faraci’s source was mum when asked if Darth Vader will come face-to-face with the film’s heroes. The source also didn’t reveal any details about Grand Moff Tarkin, on whether the commander of the Death Star will appear in the movie.

According to Faraci, the Darth Vader that’s likely to be featured in “Star Wars: Rogue One” is the classic fearsome villain. It would be the Darth Vader whom Tarkin entrusts to get rid of his problems once and for all. Having the legendary menace in the film would reportedly reiterate how much of a threat he is to people, especially to the heroes.

Filming for “Star Wars: Rogue One” has reportedly been ongoing for at least three weeks now. Sources for Star Wars Aficionado have confirmed that some exterior jungle sequences involving massive air or ground bombardment have already been filmed at Pinewood Studios.

Felicity Jones, who plays as one of the Rogue Squadron members, was also spotted on the set of “Star Wars: Rogue One” shooting an action sequence. According to these sources, there were also some scenes filmed aboard the Death Star.

Jason Ward from Making Star Wars echoed these sources claims. Ward said some of the props and practical sets used in “Star Wars: the Force Awakens” were repurposed in “Rogue One.”

“It shouldn’t really be a surprise that there’s a landing in the jungle being filmed,” he said.

He also confirmed that Felicity Jones has already shot her first scene in the film. Ward also cited a source who claimed the Star Destroyer and the landers were brought in to Pinewood Studios for “Star Wars: Rogue One.”
