StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, Sniper Ghost Warrior 2, and God of War Ascension 3
Video game Releases March 10-16
The much-awaited StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm will be making its debut this week, along with the latest installments of two games, Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 and God of War Ascension 3.
It's down to creating a strategy, going on stealth mode, participating in close combat, and facing new enemies left and right for these latest installments.
StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm
Gamers have been looking forward to StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm since the release of the release date, because it means two additional units in the form of Terran units, Hellbat and the Widow Mine, according to iDigital Times.
These two units add some ammo and adventure to the gameplay, with Hellbat being a modification of the Hellion to support assaults that are not meant at the front of the battle, and Widow Mines, which will challenge your strategic planning skills, as they are more of a stealth attack rather than on-ground weapons.
Gamers can look forward to 20 campaign missions in the galaxy with Kerrigan, with the use of the new weapons as well as new allies.
Official release of the game is on March 12, with global launch events, including in Australia, on March 11.
"We have no plans to go free-to-play in the traditional sense. We do have a trial version that allows players to check out the game but it isn't like Team Fortress 2," said Dustin Browder, game director, said to PC Gamer.
"We have not yet found design choices for StarCraft II that we would be happy with to make it free-to-play, so we aren't going to do."
Sniper Ghost Warrior 2
Finally, after many delays since the middle of last year, EuroGamer reports that Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 has a definite launch date.
It's going to be the much-awaited action of shooting and stabbing as gamers take on the role of Captain Cole Anderson. According to Polygon, the game is all about taking down a rogue leader in adventure modes, close combats, and long-range assassinations.
On March 12, City Interactive, the developer behind the second installment, will be coming to the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
God of War: Ascension 3
The latest installment finds multiplayer game modes, which pushes the gameplay to up to eight players online. For those who want the single-player mode, there's also a prompt-free button input system, time manipulation, an array of new enemies for you to face, and pickup and switch weapons, reports Hawtwired.
There's more to look forward to for PS3 players, particularly with the 30-day PS Plus membership and the $350 50G garnet red system, reports GameSpot.
This will include all six Games, Gods of War, the second and third installments, and the God of War: Origins Collection which features two more PSP games namely God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta.
