Following the newly confirmed fighter Karin for the game, “Street Fighter V” seems to be starting to take shape. Even without a definitive release date yet for the game, Capcom has started giving details about the title, the latest of which are the minimum specs required for it to run on the PC.

Revealed via the official Capcom blog, the developer unveiled PC specs that are not too demanding compared with other PC-run games. In addition to the specs reveal, Capcom also announced that the game will support Steamworks.

The game will require an operating system of Windows 7 64-bit and above for it to run. The specs reveal also brought bad news to Linux and Mac owners, as the game will not be supported in the two operating systems. Capcom is yet to reveal how much space the game takes up, but it will reportedly need at least 8 GB or RAM to run.

As for the processor, players will need to have at least an Intel Core i3-4160 clocked at 3.60GHz, but it is recommended to have an Intel Core i5-4690K at 3.50GHz. Graphics-wise, “Street Fighter V” will run on any PC housing Nvidia GTX 480 or higher, but to maximise the game’s capabilities, it’s best to have GTX 960.

In light of the specs release, Capcom also confirmed that unlike “Tekken X Street Fighter,” “Street Fighter V” will have no DLC on the disc when it launches. When “Tekken X Street Fighter” launched in 2012, there were several slots in the character menu that is already designated for DLC characters.

In an interview with Game Revolution, producer Matt Dalhgren confirmed this news at the Tokyo Game Show 2015. However, Capcom is still looking to add DLCs in future updates, but their slots in the character selection screen are invisible if the players opt not to buy them.
