“Suicide Squad” opens in US theatres on Aug. 5, 2016. The David Ayer film stars Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Jared Leto (Joker), Will Smith (Deadshot) and Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), to name a few.
In a previous interview, Leto assured his version of DC’s Clown Prince of Crime will not disappoint Jack Nicholson and the late Heath Ledger. The actor shared a photo on his Instagram showing the two actors dressed as their own versions of the Joker along with the caption, “Don’t worry, Leto will make us proud.” Viewers who saw the Comic-Con trailer for “Suicide Squad” are also confident that Leto will give a good portrayal of the Joker.
