Dean Winchester's demon status in "Supernatural" Season 10 has raised the question of whether the hunter character can be saved. Actor Jensen Ackles revealed during the 2014 Jus in Bello convention in Rome that there is a possible way to save his character and it will most likely involve Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki).

"There is a possible way, which might be the way that ultimately Sam saves Dean," Jensen Ackles teased. The Enstars report noted that Sam Winchester used the Men of Letters' demon-curing process on Crowley (Mark Sheppard) in the finale of "Supernatural" Season 8 but further added that completing the process will only result to Sam's death.

Another question raised was about the demon cure working on Dean Winchester. According to Jensen Ackles, he does not know if the process will work since Dean is currently a little powerful than a regular demon because of the Mark of Cain and the First Blade. "I don't know if it will work. I don't know how that locks the demon in even more or what," the 36-year-old actor explained.

This is not the first time Dean Winchester displayed the black shiny eyes of a demon in the CW TV series. Fans can recall that Dean encountered his worst nightmare in "Supernatural" Season 3, Episode 10 titled "Dream a Little Dream of Me" where the Demon Dean taunted the hunter that will die and become the evil spirit with the black eyes.

Jensen Ackles further teased that there could be other ways to save Dean Winchester like making Crowley talk or another demon to talk or even Castiel (Misha Collins) having some new-found power with their enemy Metatron (Curtis Armstron) and his situation. "There are question marks there about what's going to happen, but there is definitely an option on the table," Ackles revealed.

When asked about how Dean would react when he finds out his new kind of life, Jensen Ackles responded that viewers might see his thoughts about it once the real Dean Winchester comes back and the demon side is gone for good. "I really like the fact that that was touched on way back then. Now I just have to figure out if I'm going to play it the same way I played it then, now," the actor admitted in the Enstars report.

"Supernatural" is set to return to the CW Network on October 2014 with the brand new Season 10.
