Actor DJ Qualls may have hinted about returning to "Supernatural" Season 9 in a Twitter message he posted to Jared Padalecki a.k.a. Sam Winchester. DJ appeared in the TV series as dentist-turned-hunter Garth Fitzgerald but he has been missing in action after helping the Winchester brothers solve the case of a vengeful spirit in Season 8 episode "Southern Comfort."

DJ Qualls, 35, posted a message to the TV drama series' main cast Jared Padalecki on social networking site Twitter before heading to Vancouver, Canada for a "Supernatural" convention. "@jarpad I'm in your town. Won't get to see you this trip, but just heard I'll be spending some time with you this fall. Stoked," Mr Qualls wrote on his Twitter account @TheOnlyDJQualls.

The eccentric Garth Fitzgerald, returning to "Supernatural" Season 9, will certainly bring another aspect of humor to Sam and Dean Winchester's serious hunting situations. Fans will be excited to find out as well what happened to Garth during his absence since the "New Bobby" has only been mentioned numerous times before Season 8 ended.

As for actor Jared Padalecki, his character Sam Winchester will enter Season 9 not quite himself and somewhat ill as well as Mark Sheppard who portrays the demon Crowley. "We left Crowley in a very different sate than he is used to being in. You can be pretty much assured that the experience that Crowley had in that church has had a profound effect on him of some sort. Whether he likes it or not or whether he's going to admit it or not," Mr Sheppard stated to Fear Net at the 2013 San Diego Comic Con.

Additionally, Fear Net reports about Jared Padalecki's excitement for the upcoming season involving his character's development. "When I got the outlines for the scripts this year, I got chills. It's the kind of stuff I love, where we get to see a side of Sam that we've never, ever seen. In a 176 episodes, we've never seen this happen," Mr Padalecki shared.

Viewers can find out what kind of Sam Winchester they will see this time and if Garth Fitzgerald reappears in "Supernatural" Season 9 when the TV series premieres on October 8 at the CW Television Network.
