The remaining episodes of "Supernatural" Season 9 will become a more serious business that main characters Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) must deal with. A spoiler detail posted on Twitter revealed that a familiar face will return and a new character will join in the intense scenes of "Supernatural" Season 9, Episode 21 titled "King of the Damned."

The Enstars report revealed that the casting details for "Supernatural" Season came from S.E. Hinton. The author of "The Outsiders" and a fan of the CW TV series, who visit the Vancouver set last Wednesday, March 26, shared on Twitter about the exciting stuff on the upcoming episode particularly on the minor, obscure character returning.

S.E. Hinton continued to tweet about a new character that will join the Winchesters, Castiel (Misha Collins), Crowley (Mark Sheppard) and Abaddon (Alaina Huffman). The author further added that new character will not "interfere with anyone's story line" and fans will "never expect who this guy is."

Meanwhile, another familiar face is set to return in Episode 19. Actress Kim Rhodes returns as Sheriff Jody Mills in the upcoming episode titled "Alex Annie Alexis Ann." The CW Network has released a sneak preview of what to expect in the upcoming episodes of "Supernatural" Season 9 while the TV series is on another long hiatus.

"Supernatural" will return with Episode 18 titled "Meta Fiction" with the promo video teasing about Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) typing and narrating his story. The Winchesters and Castiel will be hot on Metatron's trail since he is "trying to play God."

How will Sam, Dean and Castiel stop Metatron? Capturing Gadreel (Tahmoh Penikett) may be helpful because he appears to be Metatron's right hand.

Other issues expected to be dealt with in the remaining episodes of "Supernatural" Season 9 are the effects of the "Mark of Cain" and the "First Blade" on Dean, the mission of finding Abaddon to stop her from creating a loyal demon army and the closure to the conflict between the Winchester brothers.

"Supernatural" Season 9 airs Tuesday nights at 9 pm on the CW Network. The TV series is scheduled to return on April 15, 2014 with Episode 18 "Meta Fiction."
