Katie Holmes and daughter Suri Cruise was spotted on Tuesday, November 5, at the Los Angeles LAX Airport after flying in from New York City amid the defamation lawsuit that superstar dad Tom Cruise filed against Bauer publishing group. Magazines "In Touch" and "Life & Style" claimed that the "Mission Impossible" actor has abandoned his daughter following the divorce from the "Dawson's Creek" actress.

Suri Cruise lives with mother Katie in New York City after the divorce has been finalized and Ms Holmes has been taking on the responsibility of raising the little girl. The sighting at the LAX Airport main terminal building even shows the disciplinarian side of the 34-year-old actress as the duo got into a disagreement.

Ms Holmes opted for a casual look during their flight that includes the grey and lime high-top Nike trainers. Little fashionista Suri, on the other hand, wore an indigo top paired with a red and white polka dot skirt and bright purple printed leggings.

Katie has been busy juggling her time with work and motherhood while ex-husband Tom Cruise decided to take legal action over the false accusations made about him particularly abandoning his daughter after his failed marriage. "What I find most disturbing is that I have to sit here and look at this photograph of my daughter with 'Abandoned by Daddy' across it - to me, that is what sticks out the most," the 51-year-old actor stated.

The June 30 edition of "Life & Style" that read "Suri In Tears, Abandoned By Her Dad" and the "In Touch" October 1 cover headline "Abandoned By Daddy" written above a photo of Suri made Tom Cruise really upset about his responsibility as a father. Mr Cruise strongly disagreed as well with a claim that he chose Scientology over his little girl.

"I mean come on, that is absolutely disgusting. I have in no way cut Suri out of my life -- whether physically, emotionally, financially or otherwise. Even during the times when I was working overseas and was not able to see Suri in person, we were and continue to be extremely close," the 51-year-old Hollywood superstar asserted.

"Tom is a caring father who dearly loves Suri. She's a vital part of his life and always will be," Bert Fields, Mr Cruise's lawyer, maintains then described the articles about his client abandoning his daughter to be "a vicious lie."

Regarding the defamation lawsuit, the Telegraph report claims that Tom Cruise's lawyers are requesting a judge to "order the magazines to declare they did not have any sources to support their contentions about his parenting role." The lawyers of Bauer publishing group, on the other hand, dispute that the judge should decline the motion since the magazines obtained statements from confidential sources.
