Taylor Swift Photographed With Harry Styles After VMA Diss
Has Taylor Swift finally really forgiven Harry Styles? After dissing the One Direction member twice at MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, the American songstress was photographed together with him at an after-party, prompting speculations of reconciliation.
Taylor, 23, was noticeably bitter at the awards show when she was caught on camera twice making less-than-pleased remarks about her ex-boyfriend.
When she accepted the award for Best Female Video for her track “I Knew You Were Trouble,” she took a swipe at an unnamed person for being the inspiration for her song.
“I also want to thank the person who inspired this song, who knows exactly who he is, because I got one of these,” the chart-topping singer said.
The camera then showed the One Direction boys right after her speech, which the viewers took it as a clue that Taylor was indeed referring to Harry.
And when it was the boyband’s turn to take the stage, the camera cut to Taylor, who could be seen mouthing off the words “shut the f*** up” when the boys were thanking their fans.
But Taylor didn’t appear to be as bitter afterwards. She went straight to the Soho Grand Hotel to join an MTV VMA after-party, and was seen posing for picture not one metre away from Harry.
A male friend posted the photo on his Instagram page. The photo sees him and British singer Ed Sheeran being sandwiched by Taylor and Harry.
Both Taylor and Harry were smiling at the picture. And if they were uncomfortable being with each other’s presence, it didn’t show in the least.
So maybe all was forgiven that night?
Meanwhile, the boys of One Direction weren’t too happy with Taylor’s dissing of their bandmate.
“We were a bit confused,” Louis Tomlinson told Us magazine. “We thought she was actually calling out Niall [Horan] so the whole thing’s a bit confusing.”
“I just thought it was a bit not needed. I mean, you just won an award, it’s like, concentrate on yourself!” Liam Payne chimed in, agreeing to a reporter that Taylor’s behaviour at the VMA was indeed “lame.”
