Team Grimmie: Unseen videos of Christina Grimmie's last songs begin launch in August
Christina's last four videos will be available for viewing online
On July 25, the manager of late singer-songwriter Christina Grimmie, Brian Teefey, announced that Team Grimmie will be launching unreleased music videos that were taken before the 22-year-old pop artist went on tour. The videos will be released in August and were filmed by Christina herself.
The project titled "The Ballad of Jessica Blue" will be a mini-series that consists of the songs "Snow White," "Anybody's You," "Deception" and "Without Him." The series will be split into four parts and will focus on a character named Jessica Blue who goes on a journey of self-discovery.
The announcement was made on Christina's official Twitter account. Brian also revealed the premiere date of each song. "Snow White" will debut on Aug. 11, "Anybody’s You" on Aug. 18, "Deception" on Aug. 25 and "Without Him" on Sep. 1. The videos will be first aired on Billboard's official site before they are uploaded on Christina's Facebook and YouTube accounts.
"Christina shot these videos back in February with about six hours of choreography and four days of filming before she left for the WildFire tour," the late artist's manager wrote on Twitter. "I couldn’t be more proud of her and everyone involved for the labor of love that put into this project.” He also thanked those who supported Christina and her family.
Christina first started out on YouTube and built a massive fanbase over the years. She auditioned for "The Voice" in 2014 and emerged as a third-placer in the final ranking. She was coached by Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine. In June, she was fatally shot twice in her Orlando tour. An autopsy report revealed that she died from a gunshot to the chest.
Fans of Christina look forward to "The Ballad of Jessica Blue" and in paying tribute to the late pop artist.
