Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major “Teen Wolf” Season 5 spoilers.
According to Hidden Remote, Davis revealed during the NYCC Q&A that “Teen Wolf” cast member Ryan Kelley will play a huge role in the current season’s second arc as the supernatural creature called Hellhound. Davis explained that Hellhounds and banshees are arbiters of death so it is part of the reason why the show connected the “Teen Wolf” characters Deputy Jordan Parrish and Lydia Martin (Holland Roden).
Davis added that Deputy Parrish is going to be very important to the new mythology that “Teen Wolf” Season 5B episodes will introduce. Davis further teased that the viewers will get to know more about Hellhounds and the role of Deputy Parrish in the storyline.
“We actually have a big flashback episode in Episode 18. I can’t say too much about it, but it takes place in France,” Davis shared.

In the upcoming episodes, Davis teased that Scott McCall’s pack will deal with a “very big foe” called “The Beast” in addition to the existing threats of the Dread Doctors and Theo Raeken (Cody Christian), who has a pack of resurrected Chimeras. As for new “Teen Wolf” characters, Davis confirmed that the remaining episodes of the fifth season will no longer introduce new faces.
When asked about the return of some old “Teen Wolf” characters, Davis teased that there will be backstories on the Argent and Hale family. Derek Hale is just one of the “Teen Wolf” characters expected to appear in the second-half episodes but Davis explained Derek’s return depends on whether actor Tyler Hoechlin decides to come back to film a couple of episodes in “Teen Wolf” Season 5.
Jackson Whittemore is also another “Teen Wolf” character anticipated to return in the MTV series. However, Davis revealed that they have not yet discussed about bringing “Arrow” actor Colton Haynes back to portray the kanima.
On the subject of how “Teen Wolf” will conclude in the future, Davis admitted that the team behind the MTV series still does not have an end game planned even though he and actor Tyler Posey, who portrays lead “Teen Wolf” character Scott McCall, have discussed about it. Davis further revealed that he has always seen “Teen Wolf” with a cliffhanger ending comparable to what Josh Whedon did in “Angel.”
“Teen Wolf” Season 5 will return with episode 12 titled “Damnatio Memoriae” on Tuesday night, Jan. 12, at 9/8c on MTV. The new episode’s synopsis on SpoilerTV teases that Scott will consider what the Dread Doctors’ success means for Beacon Hills even though his pack do not support his plan.
