Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese in “Terminator: Genisys” will reportedly be wearing the classic Nike Vandals that were seen in the 1984 movie. The upcoming movie will be revisiting the timeline of the original movie, with some changes that take the story in a new direction.

The first official trailer of “Terminator: Genisys” showed that Jai Courtney will be travelling back in time naked and will find some clothes in a mall. According to a report by TerminatorFans, he will also find some Nike Vandals to wear at the mall.

According to the report, Nike stopped producing the Vandals some time ago. But the product is said to be back in production, thanks to its popularity among the fans of the “Terminator” franchise. The report also requests Nike to “drop the licensing fee” to allow the producers to come out with more authentic action figures of Kyle Reese. The current action figures apparently do not have the Nike Vandals.

The trailer of the upcoming movie does not show Jai Courtney wearing the Nike Vandals, but movie buffs who have watched the 1984 movie may remember the character wearing the shoes. The role was played by Michael Biehn in the original movie.

Kyle Reese is sent back in time to save John Connor’s mother in “Terminator: Genisys.” John, played by Jason Clarke, is the leader of the human resistance forces, which is fighting the self aware artificial intelligence called Skynet. The robot army unleashed by Skynet will seek to destroy all human life on earth.

After having failed to meet its objectives in the future, Skynet will send a T-800 cyborg back in time to target John Connor’s mother, before the leader of the resistance is born. The resistance forces manage to send Kyle as protection against the cyborg.

Kyle Reese will find that things are not as he expected in “Terminator: Genisys.” Sarah Connor is not the vulnerable woman he had assumed he will find and she also has a guardian protecting her. The upcoming movie will be featuring an aged T-800 that will be played by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“Terminator: Genisys” will be featuring a fight scene of the aged T-800 and the younger cyborg, sent by Skynet. The trailer of the upcoming movie showed a brief encounter between the two cyborgs.
