“They hire people that are not current in music,” Katy Perry on Talent Shows [VIDEO]
Katy Perry does not feel so well with the judges hired for talent and singing competitions lately. The 'Wide Awake' star claims that most of these judges are not even aware of what's latest in the music industry.
The pop star who recently launched her 3D movie spoke to Hollywood Reporter to reveal that she has been offered to be a judge for a certain television show she refused to name.
She admitted that she was considering the thought, but she believes to be one will require a huge sense of commitment on her part. However, Perry is occupied at the moment preparing for bigger things and ideas ahead of her. This could be one of the reasons too why she recently shared that she feels like going away to recharge and be refreshed.
Perry added that she has nothing against any of these shows. She said that she sees herself as a judge who would give 'constructive criticism' which others can apply to their own styles and hence find it useful in the long run.
The singer-songwriter said that she finds it overly funny when such tv shows get people to serve as judges but does not know anything about what's latest in music. Some, Perry claims, are not even into music itself.
"How are you going to give a perspective when you haven't lived it," Katy Perry voiced out her opinions on such judges.
It can be recalled that Katy Perry herself was once a guest judge for 'The X Factor' in 2010. After that, rumours started spreading that she may be a permanent replacement for another former judge Kelly Rowland. Recent confirmations tell though that the slot has been given to Nicole Scherzinger.
