Tigress Katy Perry Enthralls the Audience As She Performs on Her Latest Single 'Roar' on X Factor
Katy Perry is at her career's high this time. The 28-year-old singer was in her Tigress avatar as she performed on her latest single "Roar" at the latest episode of "The X Factor" on Sunday. The gorgeous singer showed off her curves in a bright orange dress symbolic of a Tiger. She completed the look with fake Tiger ears and looked amazing.
The "Roar" singer belted out a wonderful performance much to the amazement of the X Factor audience and judges Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne, Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh.
The stunning brunette also wore an elbow-length gloves and bright red lipstick with a thick gold chain necklace, which accentuated her tiger-looks. The tigress-Katy however was joined by suit-wearing, masked men with briefcases as she performed on "Roar." However, the mystery of black men was soon unveiled as they took out their suits to reveal animal-print metallic jumpsuits inside.
"I get to dress up like a big cat so I love this song. I feel grrreat!'," Perry told The X Factor host Dermot O'Leary after a much appreciated performance. Katy's latest single "Roar" is topping the charts and has catapulted the singer back to her successful days before she filed for divorce with Russel Brand and went into depressed state.
Katy Perry's "Roar" is the first single from her upcoming album "Prism," which will be seen as her comeback album. The singer was so depressed when her marriage ended with Brand that she even thought of ending her life at one point. But then she met her now boyfriend John Mayer who brought her back to normal life and encouraged her to write songs again. Most of the songs on "Roar" are Perry's personal thoughts and what she underwent during the darkest hours of her life when her marriage failed.
"Roar" is now featured as no.1 song on ARIA Singles chart, Australia's official Top 50 charts, thus equalling Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" as the longest-running No.1 of the year. Perry now holds the record of longest run at the top of the chart for a female artist in last ten years. The last female artist to hold this position was Ke$ha for her hit "Tik Tok" in 2009.
