Top 5 iOS Apps for PS4 and Xbox One Games: 'Battlefield 4,' 'Call of Duty: Ghosts,' 'Knack, and More'
With the PS4 and Xbox One's release date coming near, new iOS games have also been emerging in iTunes to mark the upcoming companion apps for the anticipated games coming out for the next-gen console.
Check out the top five companion game apps that will be useful for you when you start playing on the console, and know what freebies and functions you can get from each one to help amp up your game.
"Battlefield 4"
Though "Battlefield 4" is already out and putting a number of players in awe of the game, there's another way to enjoy the battlefield in an enhanced manner. This is through the Battlelog App,
According to the official Battlefield Blog, Battlelog lets you keep up to speed with everything that's happening in the world of Battlefield, customise weapons and vehicles while on the go, and even create missions and compete against friends.
There's also another dedicated app, Battlefield 4 Commander, which will launch on Nov. 19. This app, reports BF4Central.com, is available for both iOS and Android and lets you play the Commander role and lead a team and join other players who are on the PC or a console.

"Watch Dogs"
Even though "Watch Dogs" is delayed to 2014, this won't put a stop to the exciting features of the ctOS Mobile app. As the official companion app for the game, the ctOS will feature the competitive multiplayer mode and let you bring grief to friends playing "Watch Dogs."
According to Joystiq, the app allows her to play the role of hacker, raising hell with different objects and destinations in another opponent's game. This means that you can bar the progress of someone else by being a hacker and throwing obstacles in his way.
But what's even more fun is that, in case you don't want to play Watch Dogs on the console, you can still download the iOS and Android app and have fun messing with your friends.
"Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag"
The companion app for "Assassin's Creed 4" has been announced as far back as June at the E3, and more details are now available as the app is already out on iTunes and Google.
When you've downloaded the "Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag" companion, you're advised to sync it with your actual game from the console to better enjoy the following features.
There's the interactive world map that displays your mission's objectives and allows you to invite a friend to accompany you in your journey as your quartermaster. The main game is also accessible at the touch of your fingertips with the Kenway's Fleet feature. Here, you can dispatch captured ships to missions, scout routes and collect loots.
Other features of the app include treasure maps, a progress tracker, feeds from the AC4 gaming community, and an Animus Database.

"Call of Duty: Ghosts"
Not one to fall behind its biggest competitor, "Battlefield 4," "Call of Duty: Ghosts" also has its own companion app,
The "Call of Duty: Ghosts" companion app is also good for clans who play together, as it will help the leaders manage the group better and execute actions in a more cohesive and unified way with the clan.
iMore adds that the app lets you change loadouts, customise your soldiers, select weapons for them, and change the perks that they use, all with the app,
For a close look at the ongoing battles, the app also has a second screen function so you can use it to play and view stats while playing. While there features mentioned are very useful for those who are playing for serious time with clans, there have also been a number of criticisms about the app.
Product-Reviews reports that there are several problems with the app, from unresponsive moments of the app to issues with customisations or other features mentioned above. Activision has yet to reveal any fixes for this app.

"NBA 2K14"
The sports fans who will be playing the "NBA 2K14" can also put the game in their smartphones, as an iOS and Android app titled MyNBA2K14 has been made available as announced by 2K Sports.
According to its iTunes page, you can easily connect to both the console and PC versions of the game just by using their NBA 2K account. Some of its features include access to key data from the game's console or PC version. This means you can check out the MyCAREER stats, multiplayer records, and leaderboards.
The report adds that an easy 2,000 virtual currency can be earned every day using the MyGame mode. And you can also play using virtual car collections in the MyTeam Mobile mode.
