Top 5 Things to Expect in iOS 7 and WWDC Event 2013
Apple's annual WorldWide Developers' Conference will commence in a few hours and there are a lot of things that consumers and Apple fans should expect in the event.
Apple's Worldwide Developer's Conference is just around the corner and will take place on June 10 in San Francisco.
Many speculated that Apple will drop some hints on the release date, features and specs of Apple's popular devices - iPhone and iPad. However, tech experts say that we should not expect an iPhone nor an iPad in the said event.
Based on previous WWDCs, the said event usually focuses on software, but often Apple includes some hardware unveilings, too. Some of the most notable announcements this time out, however, may actually be services. On top of that, this is the first Apple event since CEO Tim Cook shuffled the leadership at the company.
Below are the top five things that consumers and Apple fans should expect in the upcoming WWDC 2013.
iOS 7 - A new version of Apple's software will be introduced in the event packed with new specs and features. Moreover, many are curious with what will happen to the iOS since iOS chief Scott Forstall left Apple. However, many are hoping that the unveiling of iOS 7 will confirm some of the rumoured features of the upcoming iPhone and iPad.
iRadio - According to reports, Apple is set to announce a new streaming radio service tied to iTunes. iRadio, as it's rumored to be called, will be more like Pandora than Spotify, creating radio stations based on song selections and user history.
OS X 10.9 - OS X 10.9, codenamed "Cabernet," should come with a few new features and some tweaks to make things easier for power users, but it won't be the major shift that, say, 10.7 Lion was.
New Mac Pro - Some people speculated that Apple will give Mac Pro desktop a face lift due to the growing competition in the market.
New MacBooks - PC manufacturers have already begun unveiling new laptops that pack Intel's next generation of chips, codenamed "Haswell," which boast better performance while draining less battery life, and Apple almost certainly has its next-generation Haswell MacBooks ready to show off at WWDC.
As usual, Apple is tight-lipped with what it in stores for its fans and consumers. However, we will definitely find out soon.
