Manchester United Wilfried Zaha may be heading to Newcastle United on January, after the Tyneside club disclosed that they are interested in acquiring the winger on loan, according to the Daily Mail.

Zaha was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson before his retirement, but has failed to make a breakthrough under current United boss David Moyes.

Manchester United's Shinji Kagawa (R) stands with Wilfried Zaha (L) and Robin Van Persie during a training session at the club's Carrington training complex in Manchester, northern England, October 22.

The England international played an instrumental role in the promotion of his former club, Crystal Palace, from the Championship to the English Premier League.

He has been capped twice by England in 2012, but has since struggled to be called-up because of lack of game time at club level.

Zaha ruled out a return to Palace, but may be contemplating on getting regular games under a decent Newcastle side, as his representatives has opened up talks with the latter.
