‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1’ Sex Scene Downplayed for Audience
Many anticipated for the hot sex scene of newlywed Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cullen.
Today marks the international release of first part of "Twilight's Breaking Dawn - Part 1." There were a number of reports pertaining to the sex scene of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan when they went to their honeymoon in the romantic island.
It is initially reported that "Breaking Dawn" almost got a Rated R due to the hot sex scene of the film's protagonists. However, director Bill Condon said that they cut some sexiness and deleted a few moans so that the film will pass the PG-13 rating and attract its initial audience.
The film went under scrutiny by film classification boards for the sex scene that is deemed inappropriate for the young audience. Thus, Condon decided to edit the intense sex scene in the movie.
"It wasn't that graphic, honestly," Condon said. "It's close to what's in the movie now. Maybe a thrust or two!"
It was reported that the sex scene has to be filmed twice as Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson got carried away and the scene got really hot. Rob said that there is an intense sex scene version.
Kristen said, "Cinematically, cut all together, it's awesome. But we didn't really do that scene. "
Rob added, "And when we did, they kept telling us to stop."
In an interview for Showbiz 411 shown in the video below, Robert Pattinson admitted that he worked out for the sex scene.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 is released in cinemas worldwide on November 18, followed by Breaking Dawn - Part 2 on November 16, 2012.
