'Twilight's' Kellan Lutz Wants In on 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Film [PHOTOS]
Almost everybody in Hollywood wants in on the highly-anticipated film adaptation to E.L. James' best-selling erotica novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey." Avid readers and obsessed fans are also making their potential lists of actors set to play the role of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. One actor who is also dead set on wanting to star in the film is "Twilight's" hunk, Kellan Lutz.
It's a battle of the hottest guys in Hollywood when it comes to lead roles. When it comes to the role of Christian Grey, the actor set to play him just has to be perfect given the whole world, specifically women, are watching his every move on screen. A lot of big names in the business have already been mentioned in a few fan polls namely Ryan Gosling of "Drive", Ian Somerhalder of "Vampire Diaries" and Alexander Skarsgard of "True Blood."
"Twilight" stars, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have also been sighted as potential Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele respectively. One of their co-stars, Kellan Lutz, who plays the brother to Edward Cullen on film, has also been sighted as a potential actor for Christian Grey. However, according to Kellan, Christian Grey really isn't his character. Instead, Lutz has his eyes set on a different role in the film "Fifty Shades of Grey." Who would it be?
"I haven't read the books: I need to though," admitted Lutz in an interview with Parade, adding "The fans saw similarities between Emmett (from Twilight) and Elliot. I don't know much about either."
For those living under a rock, Elliot Grey is the brother to 27-year old entrepreneur Christian Grey. Elliot as described in the book is the complete opposite of Christian when it comes to the way he deals with people. So why would Lutz want to play the role of the brother and not the lead?
"I know Christian is the lead but that's why I didn't want to play Edward Cullen. He wasn't really like me. I'll trust the fans," explained Lutz.
For now, all fans can do is hope and pray hard that their protégés for the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele do manage to make it into the actual film. As of late, Ian Somerhalder has been winning a few online polls for the role of Christian Grey while the role of Anastasia Steele has been won on online polls by Alexandra Daddario.
