UFO Enthusiasts Spot A Naval Cannon On Mars [Watch Video]

On Oct. 7, a formation that looked like a naval cannon belonging to the 18th century was found by the Mars Curiosity Rover. It was found to be a rock formation.

According to Metro.co.uk, the discovery was made by the enthusiasts who were looking at the photo stream of the Mars Curiosity Rover. Various sightings were also noticed like a traffic light and a smooth ball.

Rob Waugh, the writer of the article on Metro.co.uk, was a former TV scientist. He commented that HG Wells had predicted this in his book, "War Of The Worlds." He said that the following statement made by HG Wells spoke of the incident: "huge gun, from which their projectiles were fired at us."

Another object that was sighted was a bird similar to a kestrel which was moving around the surface of the Mars. One website, UFO-Blogger claimed that the bird was an actual object which was in three dimensions.

It also said that the shading got lighter at the edges which indicated that the object was real as the sun was reflecting more light on top of the object than on the bottom.

A photo that was clicked on Sept. 19 was looked into by a UFO enthusiast, Joe White of Alien Art TV. He claimed that he found a traffic signal-like object in the photos. When he posted pictures of it on the internet, many people had agreed that it looked like a traffic signal while others commented that it looked like a totem pole.

A smooth ball was also found in photos sent by the Mars Curiosity Rover on Sept. 11 by a blogger and freelance space writer, Paul Scott Anderson. It was found to be a perfect sphere that was sitting on a flat surface. Discovery News said that on first look, it looked like a cannon-ball or a dirty golf ball. But it was found to be just a rock that was formed as a result of concretion, a process that involves minerals hardening and then becoming compact.

In the past, many other objects have also been noticed on the Red Planet like a thigh bone, iguana, helmet and finger. It was all found to be rocks.
