Residents of Chester’s Mill got a surprise visit from their loved ones (Spoiler Alert!) on Season 1 Episode 5 of CBS hit, ‘Under the Dome.’ But the question is why? Can they help those trapped ‘Under The Dome?’ Are they visiting them because for fear of not seeing them again?

CBS has released a series of photos for the next episode of its summer smash hit for its upcoming episode this week, and it shows the residents of Chester’s Mill all smiles after getting a surprise visit from their loved ones.

Deputy Linda Esquivel (Natalie Martinez) is seen happy with her fiancé, Eric “Rusty” Denton (Josh Carter). The two are set out to get married but The Dome separated them. It will be recalled that on Episode 1, it was established that Rusty and Linda were seen comforting each other by holding hands through the dome. Linda was trapped inside the dome, but Rusty was left outside with other firemen.

Rusty works for Chester’s Mill fire department, while Linda now heads the Police Department since Howard “Duke” Perkins (Jeff Fahey) died on the first episode. Rusty is Freddy Denton’s (Joe Knezevich ) brother in the sci-fi thriller. Freddy was killed in Episode 1 when the bullet from Deputy Paul Randolph (Kevin Sizemore) bounced back on the dome, killing Freddy accidentally.

But more questions have been raised following the visit. Why they got the visit this time? Will residents outside the invisible barrier be able to help those trapped?

  • James “Big Jim” Rennie(Dean Norris) is allegedly featured in his darker side in Episode 5. What are his secrets that he has been trying to cover since Day 1?
  • James “Junior” Rennie has become a deputy. Is he a natural? Does the new role as an enforcer fit him? Are the residents more in danger under Junior’s hands? Remember what he has done with own girlfriend, Angie McAlister (Britt Robertson)?
  • Julia Shumway (Rachele Lefevre) gets a message from Peter Shumway (R. Keith Harris), her husband of many years, who is also a town doctor, through her sister-in-law. Will things get worse between her and Dale “Barbie” Barbara (Mike Vogel), the war veteran and “debt collector” who accidentally killed Julia’s husband.
  • The military in action. Based on the novel written by great author, Stephen Kind, this episode should have the military in action. What will they do? How will they destroy the dome?
  • Angie McAlister (Britt Robertson) was still trapped in the Rennies’s nuclear bunker. Will she drown? Or has Big Jim killed her?
